The Prospect
Legal Services provides a range of legal information, advice, education and representation services based in our Adelaide office. As part of our development program we are offering paid Summer Clerkships for law students. This program provides an ideal introduction to a career in the legal assistance sector.

You will spend your first week experiencing a general introduction to the work of the Legal Services Commission and each of our divisions. You will then spend two full weeks in one of our core practice areas (Legal Advice and Information, Civil Law, Criminal Law or Family Law) and undertake a range of duties including:
- Shadowing lawyers in their day-to-day work
- Legal research
- Drafting documents
3 Weeks: Monday 1 February 2027 – Friday 19 February 2027
Eligibility Criteria
You are eligible for consideration if you meet the following criteria:
- Live in South Australia
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor of Laws or Juris Doctor degree
- Preference will be given to candidates who will have no more than one year remaining to complete their studies
