Adhoc site travel as required, typically once per month Roster: Monday to Friday We are seeking an experienced and collaborative Superintendent – Electrical Engineering to join our Asset & Materials Management, Fixed Plant & Engineering team. In this leadership role, you will guide and support a team of electrical engineers, designers and drafting professionals while providing technical leadership across Fortescue’s operational and project activities.
You will play an important role in ensuring our electrical assets, engineering practices and technical standards support safe, reliable and efficient operations. This position offers the opportunity to influence electrical engineering outcomes across the business, develop capability within the team and work closely with operational, project, engineering and governance stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities Lead, coach and develop a team of electrical engineers, designers and drafting professionals
Provide technical leadership and guidance across operational, sustaining capital and project activities
Develop, maintain and continuously improve electrical engineering standards, procedures, specifications and technical documentation
Support project scoping, design reviews, technical queries and engineering assurance activities
Provide technical support during equipment failures, breakdown events and operational improvement initiatives
Review and approve engineering drawings, designs, scopes, specifications and technical documentation
Work collaboratively with site engineering, maintenance, reliability, projects, safety, governance and compliance teams
Identify and implement improvements and cutting-edge solutions that strengthen engineering and asset management practices
Support the management of electrical engineering resources, priorities, software tools and technical systems
Build future capability by supporting graduates, developing professionals and emerging technical leaders
Qualifications and Experience A Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical Engineering or another relevant recognised qualification
Substantial electrical engineering experience within mining, resources, heavy industry,
utilities or a similarly complex operating environment
Experience leading, mentoring or coordinating technical professionals
Exposure across electrical design, project delivery, operational support and engineering assurance
Working knowledge of relevant Australian electrical, safety and statutory requirements An understanding of asset management, reliability and lifecycle engineering principles
Strong stakeholder engagement, communication and problem-solving skills
