About the role
Support families to find hope, resilience and connection. As a Family Drug Support Worker, you’ll provide compassionate, practical support to people impacted by a loved one’s alcohol or other drug use, helping them build confidence, set boundaries and access the right services.

Your duties include:
- Provide evidence-based, harm reduction-focused support to individuals and families affected by alcohol and other drug use through single-session and ongoing interventions
- Deliver culturally responsive, client-centred support that recognises the diverse needs of communities, including young people, CALD communities and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples
- Support clients to build resilience, navigate services and access appropriate resources through strong partnerships with community services and key stakeholders
- Maintain high-quality service delivery through accurate documentation, data collection, collaboration, supervision and continuous improvement activities

Our ideal candidate:
- Relevant qualifications in AOD/Mental health or similar
- Understanding of and commitment to Harm Minimisation and the models that underpin Family Drug Support
- Demonstrated experience working in the Drug & Alcohol sector
- Strong belief and personal alignment in cohealth Values and Mission

Appointments are subject to satisfactory completion of a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check, a Working with Children Check and a Pre Employment Declaration Form, together with evidence of the right to work in Australia and any required vaccinations.
Successful applicants will be required to provide evidence of immunisation assessment including Influenza within 12 weeks of commencement. This is in accordance with the Victorian Minister of Health Mandatory Vaccination Orders and legislated requirement for influenza vaccination.
