About Us
We are a global leader in protective packaging solutions, providing cutting-edge packaging systems and materials to customers across a wide range of industries. We pride ourselves on delivering high-quality products, innovative solutions and exceptional customer service.
An exciting opportunity has become available for a motivated and hands‑on Service Technician to join our Sydney team based in Orchard Hills.
About the Role
As a Service Technician, you will be responsible for installing, servicing, maintaining and repairing our packaging equipment at customer sites throughout the Sydney metropolitan area. The role will also involve occasional regional and interstate travel to support customers with equipment installations, servicing and technical support.
This is a varied, customer‑facing role where no two days are the same. Most of your time will be spent working at customer sites across the Sydney metropolitan area, with your day typically commencing and finishing from our Orchard Hills office. Occasional regional and interstate travel provides variety and the opportunity to support customers across Australia.
You will work independently while being supported by an experienced team. As our product offering continues to evolve, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills working with new packaging technologies and automation solutions, helping our customers adopt the latest innovations in protective packaging.
Key Responsibilities
- Install and commission packaging equipment at customer sites.
- Perform preventative maintenance and scheduled servicing.
- Diagnose faults and carry out repairs to minimise customer downtime.
- Troubleshoot mechanical and basic electrical issues.
- Provide customers with training on the correct operation of equipment.
- Maintain accurate service reports and documentation.
- Work closely with the sales and customer service teams to deliver exceptional customer support.
- Travel throughout the Sydney metropolitan area, with occasional regional and interstate travel as required.
- Ensure all work is completed safely and in accordance with company procedures.
About You
We are looking for someone who enjoys solving technical problems, has strong mechanical aptitude and takes pride in delivering outstanding customer service. You will be a team player with a customer‑centric approach, capable of building and maintaining strong relationships with colleagues and customers alike. As a key representative of our business, you will be confident communicating with people at all levels and committed to delivering a positive customer experience.
Ideally you will have:
- Experience servicing, maintaining or repairing industrial or commercial equipment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to diagnose equipment faults.
- Electrical fault‑finding skills and a basic understanding of electrical systems.
- The ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently.
- A willingness to learn and develop skills in automation equipment as our product range continues to evolve with industry trends.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with key stakeholders both internally and at customer sites.
- A customer‑focused mindset and the ability to provide exceptional service while representing the company professionally.
- The ability to work independently and manage your daily schedule.
- A current Australian Driver Licence.
- A strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
Qualifications in engineering, electrical, mechanical, mechatronics or a relevant trade are highly regarded but not essential. We value practical experience, technical aptitude and a willingness to learn just as highly as formal qualifications.
What We Offer
- Competitive salary package based on experience.
- Opportunity to participate in a 13th month bonus program linked to overall company performance.
- Fully maintained company vehicle.
- Mobile phone and tools provided.
- Ongoing technical training and development.
- Opportunity to work with innovative packaging and automation technology.
- Supportive team environment within a successful global company.
- Long‑term career opportunities.
If you enjoy working with customers, solving technical problems and being out in the field rather than behind a desk, we’d love to hear from you.
