Pool Service Technician

We are looking for an experienced Pool Service Technician. This is not a position for just another pool service person. We are looking for someone with initiative who can be a leader, assist and train other people and work closely with management.

We are seeking someone who understands:

- Pool Pumps - Energy Effective & Standard
- Pool Heating
- Pool Lighting
- Water Filtration

While we are wanting a well experienced pool person, we are prepared to consider someone with experience in an associated industry, with the right attitude and associated skills.

Training will be provided to the successful candidate based on their experience.

The Company

Waterama Pool & Spa is well known in the Swimming Pool Industry with 2 Retail Swimming Pool Shops on the Northside of Brisbane, at Albany Creek and Bribie Island, plus In Field Service Vehicles and a Swimming Pool Construction business.

The Role

To attend different properties (via a supplied motor vehicle) for the purpose of carrying out Regular Maintenance services to swimming pools, Repairs and Installation of equipment on swimming pools and home irrigation systems and pumps.

Key Responsibilities are:

- Clean & Service Swimming Pools - Both Residential & Commercial




- Test pool water and add necessary chemicals
- Clean and Service Pool Equipment
- Install New Pool Equipment
- Install Irrigation or Tank Pumps
- Diagnose Faults & Problems
- Install Spare Parts

The Applicant

While we will give preference to persons who have swimming pool or irrigation experience, persons with other experience who have the ability to work unsupervised should not be deterred from applying. Training will be provided.

To be successful in this role, you will need to understand or demonstrate your ability to be able to understand:

- Pumps & Filtration
- Pool Heating
- Pool Chemistry

You will need to:

- Have a manual drivers licence
- Present well in appearance and dress standards
- Be well spoken & articulate and able to communicate well with customers
- Be reasonably computer literate.
- Have a keen attention to detail - pick up on things others may not
- Be able to work unsupervised

Training

Training will be given to a successful applicant who does not have the necessary swimming pool experience, but demonstrates an ability and desire to learn.
