ModnPods (ModnPods Australia Pty Ltd) is growing, and we're looking for full-time Carpenter Team Leaders to join our team. As a qualified carpenter with experience in modular prefabrication, you will lead small production teams while remaining hands-on in the construction of high-quality modular accommodation. This is an excellent opportunity to further develop your leadership skills while applying your carpentry expertise in a manufacturing workplace, working alongside a team committed to quality, safety and continuous improvement.

Main tasks and duties shall include:
Managing and prioritising team workload to meet production schedules and deadlines.
Planning ahead for materials and resources to support your team
Training and upskilling of team members
Fabricating and assembling components according to design specifications.
Operating a range of carpentry machinery and tools, including saws, routers and drills, to shape and assemble components efficiently.
Performing routine maintenance on tools and equipment to ensure optimal functionality and safety.
Working with a variety of materials, including wood, metal and composites,
to ensure precise measurements and high-quality finishes.
Interpreting technical drawing and blueprints resulting in carpentry tasks being executed accurately.
Maintaining a keen eye for detail, ensuring that all finished products meet or exceed the established quality standards.
Conducting through inspections of completed work to identify and rectify any defects or discrepancies, and undertake continuous improvement and feedback activities.
Maintaining a safe work environment
Qualifications Required:
Minimum of Certificate III in Carpentry (or equivalent recognised by VETASSESS / Trades Recognition Australia)
A minimum of 2-3+ years experience as a Carpenter, including experience in modular / prefabrication
Demonstrated experience leading or supervising small teams in a carpentry or manufacturing environment preferred
Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and plans
Excellent carpentry skills including the use of power and hand tools
Demonstrate a high level of communication skills
Solid ability to plan and organise tasks and resources for your team to meet deadlines.
A strong safety focus - promoting site safety standards
