Role Overview

As Senior Copywriter you’ll shape ideas, influence clients, and elevate creative standards across the agency.

To be successful in this role, you’ll need to be a conceptual thinker and strategic storyteller who can originate big platform ideas, lead campaigns end-to-end, and deliver an exceptional level of copy craft. You are a great collaborator and can partner closely with senior strategists and client leads to drive meaningful business outcomes.

In this role you will act as a creative lead on key integrated accounts, mentor emerging talent, and help define Bastion’s creative voice in market.

Concept & Campaign Development

- Originate bold, culturally relevant ideas grounded in insight for integrated creative platforms and campaigns
- Lead brainstorms and creative workshops
- Partner with an Art Director and our Design team to produce cohesive creative systems




- Oversee execution across paid, earned, owned and experiential channels (depending on the ask of the brief)
- Deliver audience- and brand-appropriate copy craft with consistency and impact across all mediums and channels
- Uphold a level of high-quality writing across each stage of a project or piece of work, from deck stage to final touches

Client Partnership

- Act as a trusted advisor on messaging and brand voice
- Present and defend creative work at senior client level
- Contribute to proactive idea generation and growth opportunities
- Navigate feedback with confidence and strategic clarity
- Mentor and develop junior and mid-level writers
- Foster a culture of curiosity, collaboration and ambition

Key Experience & Attributes

- 8+ years’ experience in an integrated or creative agency environment
- Strong portfolio demonstrating excellent ideas and craft, preferably across integrated campaigns (you can write a great 30” script but can also come up with earned ideas that genuinely earn attention)
- Ability to lead creative from concept to production
- Confidence in presenting to senior clients and stakeholders
- Proven experience winning new business pitches
