About the role

Reporting to the Tax & Treasury Manager, this role is responsible for managing Kia Australia's taxation obligations, ensuring compliance across all tax reporting requirements, and supporting the business with expert tax advice and governance.

This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong tax professional who enjoys partnering with stakeholders, improving processes, and influencing business decisions in a dynamic corporate environment.

Key responsibilities

- Maintain and enhance Kia Australia's tax governance framework, policies, and procedures.

- Partner with stakeholders across Finance and the wider business to obtain and validate information required for tax reporting and compliance.

- Monitor changes in tax legislation and assess impacts on the business.

- Identify opportunities to improve tax processes, controls, and reporting efficiency.

- Manage tax-related month-end activities, including journal preparation and reporting.

- Prepare management reporting, departmental cost centre reporting, and submissions to Kia Headquarters.

- Support financial accounting activities and external audits as required.

About you





You are a commercially minded finance professional who can turn complex data into practical business insights. You combine strong technical capability with a collaborative, goal-oriented approach.

To be successful, you will have:

- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics.

- CA or CPA qualified.

- 5 years’ experience in an accounting environment, preferably in the automotive industry.

- SAP experience desirable.

- Solid knowledge of Australian taxation legislation, compliance, and reporting requirements.

- Exposure to transfer pricing, CbCR, APA, or Pillar Two requirements will be highly regarded.

- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

- Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder engagement capabilities.

- A continuous improvement mindset with the ability to influence outcomes across the business.
