About the role

We’re seeking world-class educators to inspire the next generation of General Education students!

You enjoy sharing your passion for General Education and thrive on supporting and mentoring a diverse group of students with various linguistic and cultural backgrounds. You can also adapt your facilitation style to meet your students’ needs and deliver in a clear concise manner. You have demonstrated ability to collaborate within a dynamic teaching team and are committed to building the skills of your students.

About You To be successful in the role, you will:

- Hold appropriate subject knowledge and skills, and at minimum hold a Qualification of the below:
- a degree with at least one unit of study in one or more of the subject areas listed below OR
- any degree and postgraduate study in one or more of the subject areas listed below OR
- a diploma qualification in one or more of the subject areas listed – Humanities, English, Science or Mathematics

Have a minimum of three (
- years post-qualification industry experience relevant to your qualifications, gained no longer than five years previously.
- Hold evidence of the required teaching qualification to deliver Vocational Education and Training (VET). See the candidate support document here for details.
- Be prepared to develop and maintain your VET knowledge and skills as well as your industry currency, and trainer/assessor competence.

Targeted Question: Part of the role of a TAFE teacher is to collaborate with colleges in and outside of the classroom to ensure consistency across the discipline. This may include team teaching and/or developing lesson material, student assessments, and marking guides in consultation with other teachers.
