About the role
We are seeking a talented and experienced Qualified Cabinet Maker to join our growing team at Inspired Kitchens in Bendigo, VIC. This is a full-time position that offers a rewarding opportunity to utilise your cabinet-making expertise in a dynamic, professional environment. You will play a crucial role in manufacturing and installing high-quality cabinetry for clients. This position is based on-site in Bendigo, where you will contribute to our reputation for excellence and precision in the cabinet-making industry.
What you'll be doing includes
- Design and create bespoke cabinetry solutions tailored to client specifications and requirements
- Operate and maintain a range of woodworking machinery and hand tools with precision and safety
- Construct cabinet components including frames, doors, drawers and shelving systems
- Install completed cabinetry at client locations, ensuring proper fitting and alignment
- Maintain accurate measurements, specifications and project documentation
- Ensure all work meets quality standards and complies with health and safety regulations
- Perform regular maintenance on workshop equipment and tools
- Contribute to a safe and organised workshop environment
What we're looking for
- Formal qualification or apprenticeship in cabinet making or joinery
- Proven experience as a qualified cabinet maker with a portfolio demonstrating high-quality work
- Advanced proficiency in operating woodworking machinery and hand tools safely
- Strong knowledge of materials and finishing techniques
- Ability to read and interpret design drawings, blueprints and technical specifications
- Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to precision and quality craftsmanship
- Sound understanding of health and safety practices in woodworking environments
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with team members and clients
- Problem-solving ability and adaptability when addressing design or installation challenges
- Valid driver's licence and white card
- Experience with CAD design software or kitchen design programs (advantageous)
