About the Role

Our client is a global Technology & Cloud Infrastructure host in a Data Centre environment. We are looking for professional and high-performing security officers.

The security team in theselocations playsan important role in ensuring that the client's data integrity is always maintained.As the first point of contact for visitors and contractors entering the facility, the Security team at these locations needsto leave a lasting impression of exceptional customer service.

This is a full-time role operating with shifts from 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM and 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Shifts may be fixed each week or rotated weekly or fortnightly, depending on business requirements.





The Security Officer will be responsible for:

- Prioritising loading dock operations when deliveries are in progress while continuing to perform standard Data Centre security duties during non-delivery periods
- Opening and securing roller shutters
- Monitoring loading and unloading activities
- Ensuring compliance with site safety and security procedures
- Conducting security screening of all personnel entering and exiting restricted areas
- Monitor facility alarms and security system Class 5 alarms, Security portal resets, Duress alarms
- Investigating and responding to alarms and incidents as a first responder
- Assisting with emergency management procedures, including the provision of First Aid where required
- Managing keys, access cards, Access Control Systems, and Visitor Management Systems
- Identifying prohibited items and preventing unauthorized items from being introduced to or removed from restricted areas
- Preparing complete and accurate shift reports and task handovers for the Customer Service & Security Supervisor
- Conducting physical (on-foot) patrols and virtual (CCTV) patrols of assigned areas
- Reporting hazards, incidents, and security breaches promptly

Skills and Experience

Candidates must meet the following job criteria:

- Hold a Valid Security License in respective State (Class 1A or equivalent)
- Excellent communication skills and observational skills
- Customer service experience is essential with strong multi-tasking abilities
- Conflict resolution,



negation skills and intermediate PC skills (MS Suite) required
- Exceptional customer service standards, greet visitors, and employees and assist as required
- Compliance of all relevant company policies and procedures
- Protection of premises occupants, protection of real and personal property
- Report writing and Site patrol duties and experience communicating via two-way radio
- Must be punctual, responsible and lead by example – support a safety and compliance culture
