Accounting Manager Public Practice - Queensland Locations: Remote (QLD), Toowoomba Office, or Roma Office

About the Role
As Accounting Manager, you will play a key leadership role in delivering high-quality accounting, tax, and business advisory services to our clients across regional and rural Queensland. You will also support the smooth running of the practice by assisting with workflow management and team coordination.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of accountants and support staff
- Manage a portfolio of clients, including tax compliance, financial reporting, business advisory and BAS/GST
- Oversee and actively participate in the delivery of client work ("willing to be on the tools")
- Assist with workflow management, job scheduling and ensuring deadlines are met
- Review workpapers,
tax returns and financial statements
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and practice efficiencies and assist with implementation
- Build and maintain strong client relationships
About You
- Minimum 5-7 years' experience in public practice, with previous supervisory or managerial experience
- Strong technical knowledge in tax, accounting standards and compliance
- Proven ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines in a rapid‑paced environment
- Excellent communication and client relationship skills
- Proactive, organised and solutions-focused
- Comfortable working across multiple locations (remote, Toowoomba, or Roma)
- Willingness to be hands‑on with client work while leading others
