Discovery at Play Early Learning Centres is seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Childhood Educator to join our team in Vasse, WA. This is a part-time position offering a meaningful opportunity to make a positive impact on children's development and learning outcomes. As an Early Childhood Educator, you will play a vital role in creating nurturing, stimulating, and safe environments where children can explore, learn, and grow. Key responsibilities

- Planning, implementing and evaluating age-appropriate educational activities and play-based learning experiences that promote children's cognitive, social, emotional and physical development
- Providing direct care and supervision to children, ensuring their safety, wellbeing and comfort at all times
- Building positive relationships with children and families, communicating regularly about each child's progress, interests and developmental milestones
- Creating and maintaining clean, protected and stimulating learning environments that encourage exploration and play
- Supporting children's social and emotional development by modelling positive behaviours and conflict resolution strategies
- Collaborating with colleagues to implement centre policies and procedures, including health, safety and hygiene standards
- Observing and documenting children's learning and development to support individualized planning




- Contributing to staff meetings and professional development activities to enhance practice and stay current with early childhood education trends

What we're looking for

- Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education or equivalent recognised qualification
- Current First Aid and CPR certification
- Understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and commitment to play-based, child-centred learning approaches
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships with children, families and colleagues
- Physical capability to engage actively with children throughout the day and assist with routine care tasks
- Patience, creativity and a genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development
- Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple activities and priorities
- Commitment to maintaining professional boundaries and adhering to duty of care and ethical standards
- Previous experience working in early learning or childcare settings is highly valued
- Current Working with Children Check (mandatory requirement)
