We're partnering with a global organisation to recruit a Project Governance Coordinator to play a key role in establishing and embedding project governance across a national project delivery function.
This is an opportunity to join a business where you'll have genuine influence. Rather than stepping into an established PMO, you'll help shape governance frameworks, standardise project processes and build the foundations that support a growing national project pipeline.
Working closely with the Senior Operations and Commercial Manager responsible for projects nationally, you'll become the go-to person for project governance, reporting and continuous improvement.
The Chance
This is far more than a traditional project administration role.
You'll be responsible for developing governance documentation, standard operating procedures, project templates and reporting frameworks while supporting the rollout of consistent project delivery practices across multiple states.
As governance maturity increases, you'll become the central point for project reporting, compliance, forecasting and performance insights, ensuring project teams are following agreed processes and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
You'll also lead a small administration team responsible for project support activities including project setup, invoicing, purchase orders and project close out.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain project governance frameworks, procedures and documentation
- Create project templates, SOPs, dashboards and reporting packs
- Monitor project compliance and governance across a national portfolio
- Produce reporting on project performance, forecasting,
utilisation and work in progress (WIP)
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across the projects function
- Work closely with senior leadership to drive governance adoption nationally
- Coordinate project administration activities through a small support team
- Assist with governance for future ERP implementation and process redesign
About You
You’ll bring experience working within project environments where governance, commercial awareness and process improvement have been central to your role.
You’ll come from a construction, infrastructure or project delivery environment where you’ve worked closely with Project Managers and understand the commercial realities of delivering projects.
You don't need to have been a Project Manager yourself, but you’ll understand how construction and installation projects are delivered and be comfortable working with project documentation, commercial reporting and governance processes.
