Job Description

The Trustee for the Swartz Family Trust. Responsible for fabricating, repairing and welding metal components for heavy earthmoving, agricultural and industrial equipment, supporting RiteBore's onsite lineboring and heavy machinery services.

Key Responsibilities

- Fabricate, assemble and repair metal components and structures used in heavy machinery and industrial equipment.
- Operate and maintain ELSA Supercombinata lineboring equipment, facing head and computerized ELSA bore welding system.
- Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints and specifications to determine fabrication requirements.
- Mark out, cut, shape and form structural steel and metal components using hand tools, power tools and fabrication equipment.
- Perform welding using MIG and bore welding techniques to manufacture and repair heavy equipment components.
- Carry out line boring preparation, hard facing, gouging and associated fabrication works.
- Fit fabricated metal components and ensure correct alignment and tolerances.
- Inspect completed fabrication work to ensure compliance with engineering specifications and quality standards.
- Perform maintenance and repairs on buckets, booms, pins, bushes, agricultural machinery and earthmoving equipment.
- Operate fabrication machinery including presses, grinders, drills,



cutting equipment and other workshop machinery safely and efficiently.
- Maintain a safe, clean and organized work workplace while complying with workplace health and safety procedures.

Qualifications and Experience

- At least 3 years of experience operating lineboring equipment.
- Supplier approved training Certificate for ELSA lineboring equipment (Highly recommended).
- Knowledge and experience on Elsa line boring machines (Highly recommended).
- Australian Recognized Fitter/Welder Trade Certificate (Fitter & Welder).
- Experience in overlay welding. Machining of faces and flanges.
- Demonstrated experience in lineboring welding machine maintenance, repairing components for machinery such as CAT, Liebherr, Sandvik, Hitachi, Komatsu (Velmet), John Deere and Tiger Cat.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Hold a valid Australian Drivers Licence.
- Willingness to undertake a pre‑employment medical and drug/alcohol screen.
