We are seeking to establish a pool of Education Support Teachers for permanent and fixed-term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2027 school year. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.
Albany Secondary Education Support Centre (ESC) is committed to providing a safe, caring, and supportive environment where students are empowered to achieve their social, emotional and academic potential. Respect and responsibility, excellence and equity, care and commitment underpin the way we teach and encourage all students. We promote and maintain positive relationships within our school and the wider community. Our inclusive environment provides opportunities for young people to develop independence for life and actively contribute to society.
Albany Secondary ESC is a Positive Behaviour School. We explicitly teach our students the skills they need to be Safe, Responsible, Respectful, Positive and Caring. We recognise and reward effort and achievement and promote positive relationships for all members of our school community. Every student at Albany Secondary ESC has an Individual Education Plan which is tailored to their specific individual needs.

The Role
Suitable applicants will ideally use explicit teaching strategies and exhibit effective classroom management skills to enhance student learning and wellbeing. Applicants who are flexible, have strong interpersonal and communication skills, a commitment to professional learning, and a high level of participation in collaborative team planning will be highly regarded.
Ideally, suitable applicants will plan, program and assess using an integrated curriculum, differentiated to meet individual student needs. They should also have highly effective teaching practices, the ability to self-reflect, and a willingness to seek constant improvement in their own practice.
We are seeking applicants who are hardworking and knowledgeable about a range of disabilities and the implementation of strategies to support and enhance individual development in all areas.
