Technical Director / Principal Environmental Scientist in Contaminated Sites, join a national consultancy where your technical depth actually matters. This is a role built for someone who enjoys being the technical backbone of a business - not chasing fees, but setting the standard.

You’ll step into a Sydney-based team of 50+ consultants (across 4 offices nationally), with Sydney as the engine room. The work is already there; major infrastructure, power, desalination, and complex industrial/residential sites. What’s needed is someone who can elevate capability, mentor the next layer, and ensure technical excellence across delivery.

This is less about building a pipeline and more about owning the technical direction of one.

The Role

You’ll sit at the top of the technical structure - guiding projects, reviewing outputs,



and acting as the go-to for complex contaminated land challenges, and report into the Area Manager and CEO.

- Provide technical oversight across contaminated land & remediation projects
- Review and sign-off on reports to ensure quality and consistency
- Mentor grads through to seniors - lifting capability across the team
- Direct complex investigations, remediation strategies & risk assessments
- Act as a senior client interface on technically challenging work
- Support project strategy across major infrastructure and industrial portfolios
