Technical Lead (3 Month Contract), with potential to go permanent We're building the next generation of digital products, platforms, and ecosystems at Mustard, and we're looking for a Technical Lead to help shape what comes next.

This is a senior, hands-on contract role within our Digital Futures team, starting as a 3-month engagement with a genuine opportunity to convert to permanent for the right person. Our Digital Futures team is evolving beyond traditional delivery into product-led platforms, connected ecosystems, and innovation-driven solutions. We need an experienced lead who can hit the ground running and make a real impact from day one. Key responsibilities:

Lead technical vision and architecture across products and platforms

Act as a technical authority on emerging technologies including AI and automation

Contribute hands-on across front-end and back-end development

Define scalable engineering standards and solutions for a range of digital products

Solve complex challenges and ensure high-quality delivery About you:

5+ years as a Technical Lead with a strong full-stack background





Strong leadership and team management skills are a must

Proven delivery across digital products and platforms, ideally within fast-moving environments

Hands-on with React, Next.js, JavaScript, TypeScript, APIs, and headless CMS

Experience with AWS, Docker and Kubernetes, CI/CD, Git, and modern DevOps practices

Confident in shaping architecture and guiding teams

Able to start at short notice and open to permanent opportunities You balance hands-on delivery with technical leadership, driving quality while enabling others to do their best work. Working at Mustard:
