Currently on the market for a Security Technical Consultant to join our Prism Cyber Team here in Melbourne for a permanent opportunity. About the Role
Reporting to the Prism Cyber Principal Consultant (CISO), you will be embedded with the client from day one, managing and operating their existing security tooling — principally the Palo Alto Networks stack (including Cortex XSIAM) and Abnormal email protection.There is also a strong focus on vulnerability management and incident management. The client's workplace is well-structured and highly automated, so the emphasis is on disciplined operation and improvement of what's already in place, not building from scratch.
As a Technical Security Consultant you will represent Prism Cyber to senior client stakeholders professionally, and help Cube Networks to build strong and deep relationships with our clients.
You will be delivering technical security solutions to clients related to known security weaknesses or planned project activity. This may include architecture assessments, technical assessments, solution design, and solution implementation, sometimes with the involvements of our partners.You will be encouraged to use your skills to develop new solution and service offerings, whether discrete engagements or managed services.
You will be expected to have a good working knowledge of Governance, Risk and Compliance, including security strategies and programs of work to lift maturity as measured using industry-standard frameworks such as ISO27001, NIST CSF, SOC 2 and the ASD Essential 8. Key responsibilities:
Co-ordinating or executing assessments (workshop based and technical) to baseline the client security posture and inform your recommendations
Preparing recommendations and solutions to address the challenges you have documented
Delivering collateral and advice to support their cybersecurity maturity journey
Identifying opportunities for other Cube Networks teams/groups/areas to deliver value to the client, for example through Solution implementation or Managed Services
Identifying improvements to consulting work practices that Cube Cybersecurity practice could adopt to increase customer satisfaction, streamline engagement delivery for maximum efficiency, and demonstrate true value creation.
Identifying opportunities for new services, solutions, and consultancy engagement types for the Cube Cybersecurity practice (service development)
Creating high-value Intellectual Property for the Cube Cybersecurity practice to facilitate efficient, standardized and high-quality consulting services About You:
An experienced as a Technical Consultant for an Managed Service Provider or Professional Services, working within enterprise environments
Security architecture experience required
Hands on delivery experience, consulting and pre-sales experience is required
Working experience with Palo Alto Networks firewalls/platform highly regarded
Key certifications include CompTIA Security+, CISSP, OCSP, and CISM.
Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident
Willing and able to undergo a National Police Check
Based in Melbourne, with flexibility for hybrid work including between client site and Prism/Cube offices
