Canberra

Profectus is seeking expressions of interest from experienced technical trainers to develop and deliver training that enables users, administrators, and support personnel to operate and sustain secure ICT systems within Australian Government environments. The role spans the full training cycle: reviewing and updating training packages, delivering to mixed technical audiences onsite, capturing feedback from those sessions, and improving how training is designed and delivered over time.

Key Responsibilities

- Update and deliver training programs to a range of audiences, including frontline and escalation technical support personnel, system planners and managers, support staff from supporting agencies, and field-based support representatives
- Review and maintain training packages covering pre-requisite training, initial rollout training, and gap training
- Deliver ongoing and ad hoc training onsite to support knowledge growth and transfer across the wider user and support community
- Participate in training and post-delivery assessment reviews to capture user and technical feedback, and act on the findings
- Investigate and recommend improvements to training delivery, including embedding content into existing institutional curriculums, repeatable delivery mechanisms, and computer based training
- Attend, contribute to, and where required lead workshops and training review discussions
- Develop and maintain training support material, standard operating procedures, and technical documentation
- Maintain the accuracy and currency of all training support material
- Provide technical advice that accounts for broader business and operational requirements

Required Experience

- Demonstrated experience delivering technical training to operational and technical personnel, including hands-on and equipment-based delivery

- Experience developing, reviewing, and maintaining training packages and supporting instructional material
- Experience training technical support personnel and system administrators on complex systems
- Systems level fault-finding experience, sufficient to teach diagnosis and resolution rather than process alone
- Experience developing technical documentation, including standard operating procedures and build or load instructions
- Ability to pitch content appropriately for technical and non-technical audiences
- Ability to operate independently onsite and as part of a wider support and delivery team
- Robust written communication and presentation skills

Desirable Experience

- Formal training and assessment qualifications, for example a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
- Experience delivering training within secure or classified ICT environments
- Experience with deployed or field-based communications networks and systems
- Instructional design experience, including computer based or blended learning solutions
- Experience embedding training content into established institutional curriculums
- Technical background in systems administration, networks, or communications systems
- Experience gathering and applying structured post-delivery training feedback
- Relevant tertiary qualifications or industry certifications in a related discipline

Security Clearance Requirements

- Must be an Australian Citizen
- Must hold a current AGSVA NV2 Security Clearance

Working Arrangements

- Onsite in Canberra
