Townsville University Hospital are seeking experienced Administration Officers with great attention to detail to join the Staffing Support team within Nursing and Midwifery Workforce Services. Appointees will be required to work both Early and Late shifts in accordance with the unit roster.

Responsibilities

The Administration Officer is responsible for ensuring performance objectives are met in delivering staffing support to the Townsville Hospital and Health Service. This role works within a collaborative team environment that provides timely and accurate communication to all stakeholders and ongoing support to nursing staff. The position is the central point of contact to facilitate the booking of nursing staff to meet emergent daily leave requirements and to transact movements in systems, working closely with stakeholders to ensure information is entered correctly.

Ideal Candidate

- Advanced computer skills, with the ability to learn systems and retain information in a busy and complex environment.
- Good written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to deal with difficult internal and external customers respectfully.
- Attention to detail. Ability to accurately review documents, pamphlets, posters etc., identify formatting and design inconsistencies and action any issues.
- Highly organised, with the ability to work autonomously and meet deadlines.
- Demonstrated ability in meeting management including minutes, agendas and monitoring of actions from meetings.
- Work effectively as a member of a diverse team to achieve unit goals and support others in the performance of tasks within the work unit.

Competitive Salary and Benefits

- Salary range: $49.97 - $55.57 p.h. (casual rate) (AO3)
- 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation
- Locality allowance
- Salary Sacrificing options may be available

Requirements

- Shift Workers: Appointees will be required to work both Early and Late shifts in accordance with the unit roster.
- This is a Vaccine Preventable Disease (VPD) risk role. Hepatitis B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Tuberculosis.
