We are seeking an experienced and reliable Store person / Forklift Operator to join our warehouse and distribution team.
This is a hands‑on role responsible for ensuring the accurate receipt, storage, picking, loading and dispatch of products while maintaining high standards of stock control, safety and operational efficiency.
The successful candidate will be a highly organised individual who takes ownership of their work, follows procedures, pays close attention to detail, and understands the importance of accuracy in warehouse operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently.
- Receive, unload and put away incoming stock.
- Pick, pack and prepare customer orders accurately.
- Verify products, quantities and documentation before loading and dispatch.
- Ensure stock is correctly identified, labelled and stored in designated locations.
- Conduct regular stock counts, cycle counts and stocktake activities.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and stock control processes.
- Identify and report stock discrepancies, damaged goods or inventory issues.
- Follow company procedures, work instructions and safety requirements at all times.
- Assist in maintaining a clean, organised and efficient warehouse environment.
- Work collaboratively with management, administration and operations teams.
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience in a warehouse, stores or distribution environment.
- Strong knowledge of stock control and inventory management practices.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to follow established procedures and workplace instructions.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Good communication skills and a skilled attitude.
- Sound computer skills and experience using inventory or warehouse management systems.
- Commitment to workplace safety and operational compliance.
Highly Regarded
- Experience participating in stocktakes and inventory reconciliation activities.
- Experience loading and dispatching freight and transport vehicles.
- Experience verifying products, quantities and documentation before dispatch.
- Experience within building products, industrial, manufacturing or plumbing‑related industries.
