Nose to Tail Pet Pty Ltd (NTT) owns two Australian pet health brands that are growing rapidly: Natural Animal Solutions (NAS) and The Paw Grocer (TPG). Everything we do is focused on improving the health and wellbeing of companion animals. Our products are premium, our ingredients are carefully selected, and our team is small enough that everyone's work genuinely matters.
Natural Animal Solutions
A Melbourne-based manufacturer of natural pet health supplements, operating from our Hallam site since 2005. We produce oils, powders, topical products and our new Freeze Formed™ functional treats in-house.
The Paw Grocer
A fast-growing Australian freeze-dried pet food brand supplied through major grocery, mass retail and pet specialty channels. Our products use Australian proteins sourced from primary producers and trusted manufacturing partners.
Both brands are growing strongly. We are investing in the systems, controls and team capability required to support that growth, including the implementation of Acumatica ERP. The timing of this hire is deliberate.
THE OPPORTUNITY
This is not a traditional bookkeeping role. We are looking for a highly organised Finance Officer to own the day-to-day finance operations across both brands and keep a busy, high-volume finance function moving accurately and on time.
Reporting directly to the Finance Manager, you will manage the core processing cycle from customer orders and invoicing through to supplier payments, payroll, bank reconciliations and online sales reconciliations. Your work will allow the Finance Manager to focus on financial control, reporting, forecasting and the Acumatica implementation.
You will also be involved in the transition to Acumatica,
helping establish reliable workflows and disciplined processes as the business scales. This role suits someone who enjoys being hands-on, takes pride in accuracy and can stay in control when transaction volumes and priorities are high.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Process & Reconcile
Process customer orders and invoicing
Manage accounts receivable and customer allocations
Process accounts payable
Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies
Manage the finance inbox and transaction documentation
Complete Shopify and other online sales reconciliations
Payroll & Payments
Process accurate fortnightly payroll
Complete bank and credit card reconciliations
Prepare supplier payment runs for approval
Allocate receipts and monitor overdue accounts
Support payroll, superannuation and statutory reporting requirements
Support & Improve
Support the Acumatica ERP implementation and transition
Help test and document new finance workflows
Maintain accurate customer, supplier and system master data
Assist with month-end close and balance-sheet reconciliations
Prepare information and schedules requested by the Finance Manager
WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR
This role will suit someone who genuinely enjoys finance operations and takes pride in running an organised, accurate and dependable finance function.
You may currently be working as a Finance Officer, Accounts Officer, Senior Accounts Administrator or experienced bookkeeper and be ready for broader ownership in a growing business.
At least 3 years of experience in a broad finance-processing role.
Solid hands-on experience across accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll.
Confidence completing bank, credit card, supplier and online sales reconciliations.
Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage competing deadlines.
Exceptional attention to detail and a disciplined approach to checking your own work.
Intermediate Excel skills and confidence learning new systems.
Experience with an accounting or ERP platform; Acumatica experience is advantageous but not essential.
WHAT WE OFFER
Broad ownership from the start
You will take responsibility for the day-to-day finance cycle across two growing brands, rather than being limited to one narrow processing function.
A meaningful role in our ERP transition
Join while Acumatica is being implemented and help shape the workflows, data disciplines and controls that will support the next stage of growth.
Direct access to decision makers
You will work closely with the Finance Manager and leadership team without unnecessary layers of management.
Competitive salary and super
$80,000 - $95,000 plus superannuation, depending on experience and capability.
A genuinely pet-friendly workplace
Our Hallam site regularly has animals in it. If that appeals to you, you will feel at home here.
Discounts across the full Natural Animal Solutions and The Paw Grocer ranges.
