About the Role

The Accounts Officer plays a crucial role in supporting the finance department in various accounting and financial tasks. The successful candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent analytical skills, and a desire to work in a professional and collaborative environment. This role provides an excellent opportunity for growth and development in the field of finance and accounting.

Your key responsibilities will include:

- Management of prepaid and corporate card transactions.
- Entering invoices and ensuring proper approval are in place.
- Processing payments in a timely manner and ensuring that required authorisation is obtained.
- Assist in the management of outstanding payables and receivables ensuring that proper action is done to resolve discrepancies and adjustments are well documented and approved.
- Participate in the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring the timely and accurate completion of financial reports.
- Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations related to Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly financial reports and annual financial statements.
- Assist with annual budgeting and forecasting activities.
- Assist with external audits and respond to auditor inquiries.
- Recommend business process improvements.
- Manage relationship with suppliers, customers and other stakeholders.
- Other ad-hoc duties

What We’re Looking For:

- 1-3 years of experience in accounting or finance, with knowledge of accounting principles.
- Tertiary qualification in accounting/finance.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. NetSuite,



Xero, etc.)
- Robust analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Meticulous with a high level of accuracy in financial data.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes and technologies.

Work Requirement:

- Current Working with Children Check.
- Clear National Criminal History Check.
- Eligibility to work in Australia.
