Senior Advisor – Business & Tax Advisory (China Practice)

As a Senior Advisor, you will work closely with clients and senior team members to deliver high-quality tax and business advisory services to China-connected businesses.

Key Responsibilities

- Support the delivery of tax and business advisory services for China-connected clients, including private businesses, family groups and foreign-invested enterprises
- Assist in the preparation of tax returns, financial statements, tax provisions and other compliance obligations
- Conduct technical research and assist in preparing advice on Australian tax and cross-border business matters
- Work closely with Managers and senior team members to deliver high-quality client outcomes
- Assist with client communications and respond to queries in a timely and professional manner
- Coordinate engagement activities, monitor deadlines and maintain project documentation
- Collaborate with specialists across KPMG Australia, China and the global network to support client engagements
- Contribute to the preparation of proposals, presentations and other business development materials
- Maintain a strong understanding of tax legislation and regulatory developments relevant to China-connected businesses




- Support continuous improvement initiatives and knowledge sharing across the team

How Are You Extraordinary?

- Experience working with China-connected clients or cross-border business environments is highly regarded
- Fluency in Mandarin (spoken and/or written) is highly regarded
- A collaborative approach and willingness to learn and develop professionally

Your Experience

- Proven experience in tax advisory, business services, business advisory or qualified services
- Sound understanding of Australian tax and compliance requirements
- Exposure to international tax, cross-border business matters or China-related engagements is advantageous
- Experience preparing and delivering client work within agreed timeframes
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to build effective working relationships and contribute positively to a team environment
- A proactive attitude and commitment to delivering quality client service
- Completed or near-completed CA, CPA or equivalent professional qualification
