Make a real difference in remote communities.

This is an opportunity to play a key leadership role in delivering housing services that make a tangible difference in some of the Northern Territory's most unique and diverse remote communities.

As a Senior Housing Officer, you will lead a team responsible for supporting tenants and coordinating tenancy services across Nhulunbuy and Groote Eylandt. You'll provide leadership to staff and contracted service providers, manage remote tenancy support contracts and work alongside communities and stakeholders to achieve better housing outcomes.

What you'll be doing

- Leading a team delivering housing and tenancy services across remote communities
- Managing tenancy support service contracts and provider performance
- Mentoring and supporting staff and contractors
- Building effective partnerships with communities, government and service providers
- Preparing reports, briefs and advice for senior management
- Supporting housing initiatives, service improvements and operational reforms

What you'll bring

- Leadership experience in remote, regional or community-focused environments
- Contract management and stakeholder engagement experience
- Strong communication, problem-solving and relationship‑building skills
- Experience working with Aboriginal communities or culturally diverse stakeholders
- Ability to manage competing priorities and complex operational issues
- Current NT C Class Driver Licence (or equivalent) and willingness to travel regularly to remote communities
