Job Description

As a Mechanical Fitter, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical equipment across a variety of industrial sites. You will work both independently and as part of a team to ensure all machinery operates efficiently and safely.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on pumps, conveyors, gearboxes, and other mechanical equipment
- Diagnose faults and carry out preventative maintenance
- Read and interpret technical drawings and manuals
- Maintain accurate service records and documentation
- Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety standards
- Collaborate with other trades and site personnel as required

About the Candidate

- Trade qualification as a Mechanical Fitter (Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade or equivalent)
- Proven experience in a similar role within mining, manufacturing,



or heavy industry
- Strong fault‑finding and problem‑solving skills

Onboarding Process

- All applicants must be willing to undergo a pre‑employment medical, including drug & alcohol testing

Work Workplace

Permanent position in the mining sector located in Mount Isa, Queensland. The role involves maintenance, repairs, installation, and component changing of plant equipment. Shift: 12‑hour shifts. Relocation to the centre of Queensland, Town of Mount Isa is required.
