Over a 2-year program, you'll have the chance to:

About the role

Make a difference for Victorians while building the skills, confidence and experience to launch your career. You'll work with committed teams and contribute to major projects shaping how people live, move and connect.

Delivering Victoria's Big Build takes people from many disciplines working together in complex, creative environments. Depending on your stream, you may work with project teams, specialists, consultants, contractors and industry partners across different industries.

You'll support early project planning and investment decisions by helping develop business cases, review concept designs and monitor project costs.





- Assist in the development of Business Cases and Feasibility Assessments
- Assist in the review and development of Concept Rail Designs (track and precinct)
- Develop presentations for working groups
- Map project and operator requirements
- Prepare and participate in Multi Criteria Assessment workshops

When you join the program, you'll be employed full time at a salary of $81,496 + superannuation (as per VPS EA 2024).

About you

We are seeking recent graduates, and representatives of Victoria's diverse community to join the 2027 Victoria's Big Build Graduate Program.

You will be:

- Highly motivated set and achieve goals, and take initiative in your work
- Communicate well and work effectively in teams
- Identify and solve problems efficiently and effectively
- Meet deadlines and understand stakeholder needs

We are committed to building a workforce that reflects the communities we serve by increasing representation from groups traditionally underrepresented in transport and construction, including:

- Women (and people who identify as women),
- Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people,
- refugees and asylum seekers, and
- people from disadvantaged backgrounds.

To be eligible, you must:

- Have completed a relevant bachelor's or master's degree between January 2024 and January 2027.
- Have full Australian working rights for the entire duration of the program (February 2027 to February 2029).
- If you have completed a master's degree, you must have commenced your master's within 12 months of completion of your bachelor's degree.
- Have an interest in working in the infrastructure projects as part of the Victorian Government.
- Desirable: A valid Victorian drivers' licence and access to a vehicle.
