Before The Drums creates high-impact live experiences. We're looking for a reliable, hands-on Shop Fitter to join us on a casual basis, helping bring our event and production spaces to life.

About the role

You'll be part of the team responsible for building, installing, and dismantling fit-outs for our live events and experiences — working efficiently and safely to get spaces show-ready, on time, every time.

What you’ll be doing

Assembling, installing, and dismantling shop/event fit‑outs, fixtures, and display structures

Reading and working from basic plans or instructions

Using hand and power tools safely and confidently

Operating Panel Saw, CNC and Edge bander

Loading, unloading, and transporting materials and equipment on‑site

Working collaboratively with the production and operations team to meet tight deadlines

Keeping work areas tidy, organised, and safe

What we’re looking for





Previous experience in shop fitting, carpentry, set building, or similar hands‑on trade work

Previous experience operating Panel Saw, CNC and Edge bander

Comfortable working at pace in a fast‑moving, live‑event environment

Reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible/casual hours including evenings or weekends as needed

Physically fit and able to do manual lifting and on‑your‑feet work

A team player who takes ownership of the job in front of them

Own transport and a valid driver’s licence (preferred)

White Card / relevant safety ticket (preferred or willing to obtain)
