Chirnside Park Medical Clinic is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our healthcare team in Chirnside Park, Victoria. This is a full time position (or 4 days) that plays a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and supporting our clinical operations. As a Registered Nurse, you will be at the heart of our clinic, providing direct patient care, coordinating clinical services, and contributing to a patient-centred healthcare environment. This role is essential to maintaining our commitment to excellent medical and surgical care within our community.
Key responsibilities
Working alongside our GPs and administration team, responsibilities include:
- Chronic Disease Management and Care Plans
- Health Assessments
- Childhood and Adult Immunisations
- Recall and Reminder Management
- Triage and Clinical Assessment
- Wound Care and Injury Management
- Assisting GPs with Minor Procedures
- Treatment Room Management
- Stock Control and Ordering
- Infection Prevention and Control
- Patient Education and Health Promotion
- Supporting quality improvement initiatives and maintaining high clinical standards
- Communicating effectively with patients, families and the multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure coordinated care
- Maintaining detailed and accurate clinical documentation in accordance with healthcare standards and regulations
- Assisting with clinical procedures and providing procedural support to medical practitioners
- Ensuring compliance with infection control protocols, health and safety regulations and clinic policies
- Contributing to a safe and welcoming clinic environment for all patients and staff
- Supporting nursing colleagues and contributing to ongoing professional development within the team
What we’re looking for
Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse (Division 1)
- Current CPR Certificate
- Accredited Nurse Immuniser
- Current Working with Children Check
- Previous General Practice Nursing experience
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Commitment to providing outstanding patient care and outcomes
Remuneration
Remuneration will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
