About the Role
This is a part-time opportunity as the OSHC Director at Richmond Primary School, located in Keswick, SA 5035. In this vital leadership role, you will be responsible for overseeing the operation of the Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) service, ensuring a safe, nurturing and engaging environment for the children in our care.
What You'll Be Doing
- Oversee the daily management and supervision of the OSHC service.
- Plan, implement and evaluate a high-quality program of indoor and outdoor activities that cater to the diverse needs and interests of children.
- Ensure the OSHC service complies with all relevant legislation, regulations, the National Quality Framework and the service's policies and procedures.
- Liaise with parents, carers and the school community to build strong relationships and gather feedback.
- Manage the financial, human resources, administration and record-keeping responsibilities of the OSHC service.
- Provide pedagogical leadership to staff to ensure high-quality care, recreation and leisure programs for children, while fostering professional growth, direction and continuous learning for staff.
What We're Looking For
- Extensive experience working in an OSHC or similar education and care environment, with demonstrated success in a leadership or supervisory role.
- A thorough understanding of the National Quality Framework and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of education and care.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, families and colleagues.
- Robust organisational and time management skills, with the ability to effectively prioritise and manage competing demands.
- A relevant Certificate IV, Diploma, Bachelor's Degree, or ACECQA-approved qualification suitable for the role of OSHC Director.
- A current Working with Children Check (WWCC), or the ability to obtain one prior to commencement.
- Current Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect (RRHAN) Training.
- Current Child Safe Environments Training.
