Trailer Spares Direct (TSD) is a Leading supplier, importer and manufacturer of products for the Trailer industry (www.trailersparesdirect.com.au), specialising in trailers and RVs under 4.5 tonnes, as well as into the Mining industry with carefully selected specialty products. Supplying throughout Australia via wholesale, trade and direct to retail. Due to national expansion, we currently require a highly motivated and experienced Storeperson to join our friendly team at our busy Melbourne branch in Campbellfield.
The Role
Reporting to the Operations Manager, this important role is required to support the increased demand for products being received and dispatched through our Melbourne warehouse.
Responsibilities
Picking and packing of products and preparing them for dispatch.
Loading and unloading of containers.
Communication with freight companies
Quality control and checking goods received.
Operating all mechanical equipment, including forklifts, safely.
Use of hand tools as required.
Heavy lifting of products.
Packaging and labelling of stock.
Participate in stocktakes and weekly cycle counts.
Prepare delivery run sheets and complete consignment notes.
General housekeeping duties as required.
Deliveries to customers as and when required.
The Person
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Highly organised and possesses great time management skills.
Be motivated and with strong attention to detail.
Experience in checking delivery sheets and goods inward, including uploading containers.
Effective, timely and accurate distribution of goods in and out of our warehouse, including loading of trucks.
A strong commitment to WH&S; policies and procedures.
A willingness to learn and a positive "can do" attitude.
Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines.
Current Forklift and driver's licence.
Computer skills or the ability to learn.
Must be a team player.
