- Pay details – Salary packaging: $58.37 to $60.95 + 12% superannuation and salary packaging up to $15,900 per year.

What you will do:

As a Therapeutic Specialist, you'll be the go-to person for trauma-informed care, guiding and supporting staff, carers, families, and teams. Your role will involve developing and implementing Therapeutic Response (BIS) plans, facilitating Therapeutic Care Team meetings,



conducting Reflective Practice sessions and trauma-informed care assessments. You'll ensure that children and young people's voices are heard and included in their care plans.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide therapeutic oversight and targeted interventions for children and young people in Out-of-Home Care.
- Develop and review trauma-informed care assessments and intervention plans.
- Facilitate Therapeutic Care Team and Multidisciplinary Team Meetings.
- Equip children and young people with safety and resilience skills.
- Promote a culture of respect, humility, and empowerment.
- Work closely with Aboriginal families and service providers to support cultural healing.
- Maintain accurate records and comply with all legislative requirements.
- Work collaboratively across teams to champion and embed a trauma‑informed culture throughout the organisation.

What you bring:

- Hold a Tertiary qualification in Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, Mental Health Nursing, or related discipline. (N.B: Candidates that also hold a relevant Postgraduate Qualification will be highly regarded)
- A Minimum 5 years' experience in a therapeutic care setting or working in a clinical environment with Children and Young People in Out of Home Care.




- High-level communication and interpersonal skills.
- Expertise in developing therapeutic alliances and working within multi-disciplinary teams.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Knowledge of evidence-informed practices for children in out-of-home care, trauma-specific healing, and attachment-based interventions.

Other Essentials:

- Current Australian driver's licence.
- Occasional travel for training and therapeutic purposes.
- Current registration with professional body relevant to your qualification.
