Maintenance Trades Assistant | Manufacturing Plant | Brisbane

$36.00/hr casual, with a real path to full-time

We're a Brisbane manufacturer looking for a reliable Maintenance Trades Assistant to support our tradies and keep the plant running. This is hands-on work in a busy workshop environment, and it suits someone who turns up on time, works safely, and takes pride in getting the job done.

Start as a casual on $36.00 per hour, with a genuine move to full-time on offer for the right person.

The roster

Monday to Thursday, 8:00am to 4:00pm, and Friday 6:00am to 2:00pm. On-call or weekend work is possible but extremely infrequent.

What the role involves

You'll be assisting our tradespeople day to day, using a wide range of hand and power tools, and providing mechanical and electrical support across the factory floor. Welding is a core part of the work, so hands-on welding knowledge or experience is essential. You'll work to safe work practices at all times, keep a close eye on detail, and be ready to lend a hand to both maintenance and production as needed.

What you'll need

- Welding knowledge or experience (mandatory),



a valid forklift ticket (essential), and a current driver's licence
- Solid experience in a workshop and the manufacturing industry, confident across a variety of hand and power tools, with a sound understanding of safe work practices
- Reliable attendance and communication, strong work ethic, and the discipline to be on time, every time
