Reporting to the General Manager, the Maintenance Officer is responsible for delivering general maintenance and repairs of buildings, fixtures and fittings, homes and associated structures in accordance with the Home Maintenance Plan to provide a pleasant and safe environment for residents, staff and visitors.

Responsibilities

- Manage and undertake inspection & delivery of statutory, preventative & corrective maintenance of the facility.
- Provide supervision and coordination of site contractors.
- Ensure an aesthetic, compliant and safe working environment.
- Maintain property, including cleaning, painting, lighting maintenance, TV installations, hanging paintings, disposal of rubbish, checking and maintaining air conditioning, tiling, basic plumbing, furniture removal, and general repairs.
- Ensure planned maintenance of home assets are executed in accordance with the Maintenance Plan and legislative requirements.
- Ensure all maintenance activity complies with relevant legislation.
- Use preferred suppliers where relevant and ensure all works are conducted within budget and follow workflow procedures.
- Carry out scheduled tasks within agreed timelines.

Qualifications

- Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role.
- Experience in contractor management.
- Experience in managing site maintenance budgets,



work orders and requisitions.
- Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
- Knowledge & application of relevant legislation requirements, codes and standards.
- Moderate computer literacy.
- Current driver's licence.
- Required pre‑employment medical assessment.
- Prior to commencement: completion of a National Police Check and/or NDIS Workers Check (or willingness to obtain).

Located in Heathfield in the centre of the picturesque Adelaide Hills, Hillside Aged Care is nestled amongst the tall trees and natural bushland providing peace, tranquility, only 15km from the City of Adelaide.
