The Opportunity

Become an essential part of the machinery that keeps ASIO running. We are seeking dedicated and detail-oriented cleaning professionals to maintain our facilities to the highest standards.

These positions are full-time with evening shift positions also available in Canberra.

A merit pool may be created to fill future vacancies which have the same or similar requirements to this position. This merit pool will be valid for up to 18 months.

Responsibilities





- Sweeping floors
- Vacuuming hard and soft surfaces
- Carpet steam cleaning and extraction
- Mopping hard surfaces
- Buffing and scrubbing floors
- Cleaning and polishing office furniture
- Cleaning wet areas
- Glass cleaning
- Low- and high-level dusting
- High pressure cleaning
- Emptying waste and recyclable rubbish from kitchen areas
- Stain removal
- Maintaining stocks in service areas (soap, towels, toilet paper etc)

What you will bring

- A reasonable fitness level for walking, bending, and reaching activities, and ability to lift objects up to 10 kilograms
- Discretion when present in work spaces
- Understanding and awareness of health and safety procedures, for example manual handling, safe use of chemicals, working at heights, hazard identification
- Good attention to detail
- Effective time management
- Personal drive and motivation
- Willingness to learn new tasks
- Positive communication and client engagement skills
