GKR Transport are seeking a full time Tug Driver / Yard Truck Driver (MC Licence) to join our established Welshpool team.

This role is perfect for someone who still enjoys being behind the wheel but values the consistency of being home every night. You’ll play a key part in keeping our depot running smoothly by ensuring the safe and efficient movement of trailers in and out of the breezeway for loading and unloading, and parking trailers in desginated docks and parking bays.

About the role:

- Full time position - Monday to Friday
- Coupling and uncoupling trucks and trailers using a yard tug or prime mover
- Reversing B-Doubles, Road Trains and Singles safely within the yard.
- Focused on positioning trailers in and out of the breezeway for freight unloading
- Maintain clear communication with allocators, operational staff, and drivers to coordinate trailer movements.
- Assist with straps, moving gates and curtains as needed
- Conducting necessary paperwork as required.

What You’ll Bring:

- A current MC drivers’ licence and experience moving multi combination trailers
- MUST be able to back multi combination trailers into docks with ease
- Prior experience operating yard TUGS in a transport or logistics setting is preferred but not essential.
- Experience working in a high volume transport yard or operational environment
- Sound understanding of yard safety and Chain of Responsibility




- Road Ranger gearbox experience preferred
