What You’ll do
Repairs & Pre-Delivery:
Perform maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on battery electric vehicles (BEVs) in accordance with manufacturer standards.
Carry out thorough Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDIs) on new vehicles prior to customer handover.
Apply software updates and complete any recall or campaign-related work.
Ensure all service and repair documentation is completed accurately and on time.
Handle Rego and CTP for new vehicles.
Sales Support
Prepare and clean display vehicles and demonstrators as required by the sales team.
Assist with the setup of delivery bays and ensure vehicles are customer ready.
Relocate vehicles within the dealership for test drives, display, or delivery purposes.
Workshop & Vehicle Management:
Oversee the condition and location of workshop vehicles, including service loan cars, demo vehicles, and inventory units.
Monitor battery charge levels and ensure all vehicles are always road ready.
Maintain clear records of vehicle key control and usage logs.
Tools & Equipment Maintenance:
Conduct regular inspections and servicing of workshop tools, lifting equipment, chargers, and diagnostic devices.
Ensure all tools are stored correctly and are in good working condition.
Report any equipment faults or safety concerns promptly.
Parts & Inventory Coordination:
Support the parts department with receiving, labelling, and storing incoming stock.
Request and collect necessary parts for repair orders and ensure accurate usage reporting.
Participate in regular stock takes and assist in maintaining optimal inventory levels. What We’re Looking For
Fully qualified Motor Mechanic or Registered Vehicle Technician, holding a Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology (or recognised equivalent qualification).
Minimum 2 years of experience as a Motor Mechanic or Automotive Technician in a professional workshop environment. Solid understanding of automotive service and repair practices.
Proven experience using modern diagnostic tools, including scan tools and oscilloscopes, with the ability to interpret results and follow diagnostic procedures accurately.
Familiarity with EV (Electric Vehicle) or Hybrid Vehicle systems, including high-voltage safety protocols and component servicing.
Strong problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude
Commitment to safety and quality workmanship
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Applicants must have full working rights in Australia (no restrictions).
Full driver licence.
