We're partnering with an established organisation seeking an Education Finance Consultant to join their Professional Services team. This is a customer-facing role where you'll work with education clients to deliver finance system implementations from discovery through to go-live.
The Opportunity
Working across multiple customer implementations, you'll partner with schools and education organisations to understand their requirements, support solution design, assist with system configuration, coordinate testing, deliver training and ensure successful adoption of the platform.
This is a wide-ranging role where you'll combine business analysis, functional consulting, implementation support and customer training throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate discovery workshops and gather business requirements.
- Analyse current business processes and translate customer needs into practical system solutions.
- Support finance system implementations from planning through to go-live.
- Assist with functional configuration, system testing and user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Deliver engaging end-user training and develop supporting training documentation.
- Support customers through system upgrades and cloud migration projects.
- Build strong customer relationships and provide ongoing implementation support throughout the project lifecycle.
- Work collaboratively with internal delivery and technical teams to ensure successful project outcomes.
About You
You may come from a background as a Functional Consultant, Implementation Consultant, Business Analyst, Systems Analyst or Professional Services Consultant and enjoy working directly with customers to deliver successful technology outcomes.
To be successful you'll ideally bring:
- Experience delivering software or business system implementations.
- Strong business analysis skills, including requirements gathering and workshop facilitation.
- Experience supporting functional testing, UAT and solution delivery.
- Confidence delivering training and supporting end users through change.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Knowledge of finance processes such as General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable or Fixed Assets.
- A collaborative, customer-focused approach with strong problem-solving skills.
Highly Regarded
- Experience working within the education sector.
- Experience working in a school environment as a Business Manager, Finance Officer or similar.
- Experience with education management or finance systems such as TechnologyOne, Synergetic, TASS, Compass, Civica or similar platforms.
- Experience supporting finance, business or education management system implementations.
