Diesel Fitter / Mechanical Tradesperson

Pay Rate: $47.94/hr + penalties
Hours: Monday – Friday, with daily overtime and weekend work available
Initial Tenure: 3 months, with the potential for an ongoing chance

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Diesel Fitter / Mechanical Tradesperson to join our team, servicing and maintaining high-pressure water jetting, vacuum loading and industrial service equipment. This is a hands-on role working across both workshop and site environments.

Key Responsibilities
Service, maintain and repair high-pressure water jetting equipment, vacuum loading units, pumps, hose reels and associated industrial equipment.
Carry out preventative maintenance and mechanical fault-finding to ensure equipment is reliable and operational.
Attend client sites to service, repair and inspect equipment.
Work collaboratively with other tradespeople across workshop and site settings.
Liaise with external mechanics and contractors for outsourced repairs and maintenance.




Operate forklifts where appropriately licensed.
Load and prepare containers, equipment and materials for shutdowns and site mobilisation.
Complete general workshop duties, including housekeeping and equipment preparation.
Maintain a strong focus on safety and quality workmanship.

About You
To be successful, you will ideally have:
Relevant Diesel Fitter / Mechanical Trade qualification.
Experience servicing and repairing industrial equipment.
Mechanical fault-finding and preventative maintenance experience.
Experience with pigging operations is highly desirable.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Forklift licence is advantageous.
Solid commitment to safety and quality.
Flexibility to work overtime and weekends as required.
