Local engineering company is seeking a proactive ICT Support Engineer to join our IT team. You will be the first point of contact for internal users, delivering effective technical support and ensuring smooth operation of hardware, software, and network services across the organisation. This role offers an prospect to develop technical skills in a dynamic engineering-focused setting.
Provide frontline IT support to staff, resolving hardware, software, and network issues in a timely manner.
Manage user requests and incidents through the IT service management system; monitor and escalate as needed.
Maintain and administer Windows/Microsoft 365 environments, Active Directory, Exchange/Teams apps, and VPN access.
Support hardware rollout, asset management, and configuration of desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals.
Assist with network troubleshooting at the user level (LAN/Wi-Fi) and basic router/firewall configurations as required.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement IT improvements, security best practices, and system upgrades.
Document solutions, create knowledge base articles,



and provide end-user training on common tools and security awareness.
Ensure data security and compliance in line with company policies; perform routine backups and disaster recovery checks.
Solid knowledge of Windows operating systems, Microsoft 365 (Exchange, SharePoint, Teams), and Active Directory.
Experience with hardware and software provisioning, imaging, and asset management.
Basic networking knowledge (LAN/Wi-Fi, VPN, switches) and willingness to learn more advanced network concepts.
Good problem-solving, analytical abilities, and customer-service mindset.
Effective written and verbal communication skills; ability to explain technical information to non-technical users.
Self-motivated, organised, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced workplace.
