Boilermaker / First Class Welder

Piletech Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Boilermaker / First Class Welder to join our workshop team.

This is a predominantly workshop-based role, with the primary focus on the fabrication and manufacture of steel piling products and associated equipment for civil, piling and infrastructure projects.

About the Role

Your duties will include:
Fabrication and welding of steel piles and piling components
Cutting, fitting, assembling and welding structural steel
Reading and interpreting fabrication drawings
Preparing materials for fabrication and welding
MIG welding and general boilermaking duties
Manufacturing and modifying piling tools and equipment
Ensuring finished products meet required specifications and quality standards
Safe use of workshop machinery, tools and lifting equipment
Maintaining a clean and organised work area
Assisting with loading and preparation of fabricated products for delivery to site
Following all workplace health and safety procedures and company requirements

About You

We are looking for someone who:
Is a qualified Boilermaker or experienced First Class Welder
Has strong fabrication and welding skills
Has experience working with heavy structural steel




Can confidently read and interpret workshop/fabrication drawings
Produces consistently high-quality welds
Has a robust understanding of and commitment to WHS/OHS standards and safe work practices
Can work independently while also contributing to a workshop team
Is reliable, punctual and takes pride in their workmanship
Has valuable attention to detail
Holds a current Australian driver's licence

Experience in pile manufacture, heavy fabrication, civil construction or structural steel fabrication will be highly regarded.

Forklift, dogging, rigging or crane tickets would also be advantageous.
