The chance

I'm working with a large Australian ecommerce business on the infrastructure and platform side of a broader transformation program.

They need an Infrastructure Project Manager who can hold their own with engineers and cloud architects, not someone who runs the stand-up and updates a status report.

You'll be delivering across a multi-cloud workplace spanning Azure and GCP, with Apigee sitting at the centre of their API management layer. Expect heavy technical dependency management and a lot of coordination across engineering, security and platform teams.

What you'll be doing
Owning end to end delivery of infrastructure and platform workstreams, from planning through to cutover and handover
Managing complex technical dependencies across cloud, network, security and application teams
Coordinating delivery across Azure and GCP environments, plus API management work in Apigee
Running scope, schedule, budget, risk and issue management to a proper standard
Working with vendors and managed service partners to keep delivery on track
Reporting to program leadership and technical governance forums with clear, credible status
Ensuring change, release and cutover activity is planned and executed without breaking production





What you'll need
Strong infrastructure and platform project management background in complex enterprise environments
Hands-on delivery exposure to Azure and GCP. Multi-cloud experience is the differentiator here
Apigee or comparable API management platform experience (Kong, MuleSoft, AWS API Gateway) will be considered
Genuine technical fluency. You need to challenge estimates, understand the architecture, and hold a real conversation with an engineering lead
Experience delivering in Agile environments alongside traditional infrastructure change and release processes
Excellent stakeholder management across both technical and business audiences
Relevant certification (PMP, PRINCE2, or cloud certifications across Azure or GCP) is well regarded

What's on offer

A 6 month initial contract at $1000 per day, sitting inside a multi-year program with genuine runway. Extensions are the norm rather than the exception on this account.
