The Gig

As our Part-Time Cook, you’ll be a vital part of our daily kitchen flow, bringing our breakfast and lunch menu to life. This role is built for a clean, organised cook who can follow specs perfectly, keep their cool under pressure, and maintain high standards when the tickets start piling up.

What You’ll Be Doing
Nailed-It Execution: Prep and cook our signature breakfast and lunch menu, ensuring every plate hits the pass with perfect consistency and presentation.
Station Ownership: Hold down the grill, larder, and plating stations during our peak weekend and morning rushes.
Smart Prep: Crush your daily mise-en-place and prep lists so the line is completely stocked and set up for success.
Open & Close Routines: Help kickstart the kitchen in the morning or wrap it up at the end of the day, ensuring all equipment is set and food safety checks are logged.
Hygiene Standards: Keep a spotless,



organized workstation at all times in strict accordance with HACCP guidelines.
Smooth Service: Keep communication clear and positive with the front-of-house team to ensure orders roll out smoothly and accurately.

Proven Track Record: Solid experience working the line in a fast-paced café or high-volume kitchen workplace.
Kitchen Fundamentals: Sharp knife skills, solid basic cooking techniques, and a strict eye for portion control.
Speed & Focus: The ability to move fast, stay organised, and keep your head in the game during intense rushes.
Rock-Solid Reliability: Punctual for early morning starts and fully available for weekend shifts.
