About the Role
As a Disability Support Worker, you will provide person-centred support to NDIS participants both in their homes and within the community. You will play a key role in promoting independence, enhancing quality of life, and implementing positive behaviour support strategies.
Key Responsibilities
Provide high-quality, person-centred support to participants.
Support individuals who display Behaviours of Concern (BOC)
Implement Behaviour Support Plans consistently and professionally.
Assist participants with community access, including social outings, appointments, recreational activities, shopping, and skill-building.
Promote independence while ensuring participant safety and wellbeing.
Build positive, qualified relationships with participants, families, and allied health specialists.
Maintain accurate shift notes, incident reports, and other required documentation.
Work collaboratively with the wider Easy iCare team to achieve participant goals.
Essential Requirements
Demonstrated experience supporting participants with Behaviours of Concern.
Experience implementing Behaviour Support Plans.
Robust community access experience and confidence supporting participants in a variety of community settings.
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and de-escalation skills.
Current NDIS Worker Screening Check.
Current Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain).
Current First Aid and CPR Certificate.
Current Australian Driver's Licence and a reliable, insured vehicle.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Pay: $32.00 – $35.00 per hour
