We are seeking an experienced cook to work on a fulltime basis at our busy cafe. There are permanent shifts allocated to the right candidate but also require flexibility. Located at Sydney Olympic Park, it is a family run cafe serving speciality coffee, artisan pastries and breads, and serves Up-to-date Australian cuisines for breakfast and lunch. Days will be from open to close. We are looking for a bright achiever who loves to cook, who is creative, has attention to detail, is a team player, punctual, understands food hygiene at its best and can work under pressure. Tasks planning menus, estimating food and labour costs, and ordering food supplies monitoring quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation discussing food preparation issues with Managers, Dietitians and kitchen and waiting staff demonstrating techniques and advising on cooking procedures preparing and cooking food explaining and enforcing hygiene regulations select and train staff
