A very Popular Greek restaurant, Triakosia in Victoria is seeking a qualified Full Time Chef to join their flourishing business. You will have the opportunity to work alongside senior employees who love what they do and have a true passion for the industry.

Key Responsibilities will include:
Planning of menu items and liaising with the Restaurant Manager and owner on costs/expenses
Assisting with all aspects of food preparation
Supervising kitchen staff and working collectively to meet restaurant demands
Checking of kitchen inventory and ordering of supplies as required
Estimating of all restaurant costs including food, labour and incidentals
Mentoring and training of junior staff as required
Monitoring of food preparation to ensure high standards are adhered to at all times
Assisting the manager in planning Staff Rosters
Adhering to all OH&S; regulations and regular updating of policies as required

Triakosia is seeking an individual with the following key attributes:
Minimum 2 years’ experience working in a busy kitchen workplace




Certificate IV or higher in commercial cooking
Expertise in the hospitality sector
Exposure to Greek Cuisine highly desirable. Training will be provided.
Superior customer service focus
Exceptional communication skills and ability to liaise with a diverse clientele
Versatile, adaptable and ability to work weekdays and weekends
Well-presented and professional
Ability to work effectively under pressure
Team player with a can-do attitude who can also work effectively unsupervised
Understanding of OH&S; and food hygiene requirements

Salary Range: $73.200 per year plus superannuation and will be more dependent on experience
