The Glass CNC Operator is responsible for the operation, programming, and maintenance of CNC machinery to cut, drill, edge, and shape glass according to precise specifications. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to interpret technical drawings to produce high-quality glass components.
Key Responsibilities
Operate CNC glass processing machines, ensuring precision and efficiency.
Read and interpret technical drawings, job orders, and specifications.
Load glass sheets onto machines and secure them properly.
Set up and program CNC machinery according to required dimensions and specifications.
Monitor machine operations and adjust settings as necessary to maintain quality.
Conduct regular quality inspections to ensure finished products meet company standards.
Perform routine maintenance on CNC machinery and troubleshoot minor issues.
Maintain a clean and organized work setting in accordance with safety regulations.
Adhere to company policies, safety protocols, and industry standards.
Collaborate with team members to optimize workflow and production efficiency.
preferably in glass processing or a related industry.
Strong understanding of CNC programming and machining techniques.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and job specifications.
Basic knowledge of machine maintenance and troubleshooting.
Understanding of workplace health and safety practices.
Ability to lift and handle large glass sheets safely.
Solid attention to detail and quality control.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under minimal supervision.
Preferred Skills & Attributes
Experience with AutoCAD or similar software.
Knowledge of different glass types and their processing techniques.
Forklift license or experience handling heavy materials.
Robust communication and teamwork skills.
