A founding role is available within a new startup funded by Deck2 Capital (deck2cap.com). Deck2 acquires profitable digital insurance companies, while our operating arm, Cove (joincove.ai), is responsible for running and growing them. You'll be hired by Cove for this role and work alongside them throughout, ensuring that the new venture exceeds expectations within this current stealth venture that's already profitable.

We're hiring an FP&A; lead to own the numbers that steer a newly acquired, rapid-growing insurance business in Sydney.

You'll build the models that matter: unit economics, cohort behaviour, CAC against LTV, loss ratios, and the scenarios that tell us where to lean in and where to hold back. This isn't reporting for its own sake - your work will directly shape marketing spend, pricing decisions and how quick we grow. You'll partner closely with growth, pricing and the exec team.

What we're looking for:
Strong FP&A; / commercial finance experience, ideally in a high-growth consumer, fintech or insurance business.
Serious modelling ability,



and the judgement to know which numbers actually drive decisions.
Fluency with unit economics in a recurring-revenue context (CAC, LTV, retention, cohorts).

This is an AI-native business, and that applies to analysis too. You'll stand out if you bring:
Real use of AI agents to plan and carry out multi-step analysis, not just answer questions (agentic AI).
Comfort building tools that pull reliable answers from our own data (RAG).
Getting production-grade output from models through good prompt and context engineering.
Chaining, routing and rigorously testing model outputs so you can trust them (LLM orchestration and evaluation).
Building your own working models and tools, even without a formal coding background.
