A founding role is available within a new startup funded by Deck2 Capital (deck2cap.com). Deck2 acquires profitable digital insurance companies, while our operating arm, Cove (joincove.ai), is responsible for running and growing them. You'll be hired by Cove for this role and work alongside them throughout, ensuring that the current venture exceeds expectations within this current stealth venture that's already profitable.

I'm looking for a designer who can build. A founding Design & Optimisation Lead to own how our product looks, feels and converts - from the blank canvas today to a relentlessly optimised experience over time. Sydney-based.

This is a rare mix, so let me be specific. You're a commercial digital designer first - you've shipped customer-facing products that had to convert, not just look good in a portfolio. You can vibe code your own ideas into working prototypes rather than handing static mocks over the fence.

What I'm looking for:




Solid commercial UI/UX design with a conversion mindset, ideally in high-traffic consumer or fintech products.
Genuinely comfortable coding your own prototypes - our front end is component-driven and you'll work close to it.
Deep experimentation and CRO - A/B/X testing tied directly to outcomes, with the analytics and testing stack to match.
Equally happy on a blank canvas or improving an existing UI incrementally. Both jobs are in front of you.

Bonus if you're properly AI-native: getting production-grade output from models through good prompt and context engineering, and using AI agents to do real multi-step work.
